Kayleigh and her family go to church with me. Years ago, they joined our family as we planted a church, Church at the Square, in Gautier. One thing most people don’t think about is that church planting is far from glamourous. It is hard work, often pays less financially than you put in, and means lots of self sacrifice. Not only does it mean that for the adults, it’s often true for the kids too. Kayleigh was close to the age my daughter is now when we started our church planting journey. I have watched her mature in the faith and grow into the beautiful woman she is today.
Getting to take senior portraits of her was so special. She had already had some great photos taken by her uncle, so I was so glad she was willing to let me take a few too. Her gentle and kind demeanor make spending time with her a joy. She warned me that this was going to be the most awkward photo shoot of my life. Not even close. When you love the Lord, His beauty wells up within you and spills out. Capturing that was easy. Kayleigh radiates joy and love.
I pray that the Lord will be your friend wherever He leads sweet Kayleigh. May His joy continue to be your beauty and your gift to the world. May He use your gifts to make His name great. May your steps be firmly planted on His path for you. His way is narrow, and it is often hard. It is the way of peace. May God continue to bless you and make you a blessing. You are loved!
Anna Cirlot is a candid portrait photographer on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Her favorite place to do portrait sessions is on Redemption Square Farm, her family owned and operated farm in Gautier, Mississippi. She loves capturing the beauty in life and loves to tell stories through her work. When she isn’t taking photos, she can be found crowded around by goats and chickens in the pasture sipping a fresh brewed cup of coffee watching her children play outdoors.
